“I like to think of detailing as a personal experience. You're handing over, essentially, a member of the family, or one of your biggest investments, normally for a few days. So for me it's important you know who's going to be giving the utmost care to your pride and joy.”
My story
I've always had a passion for cars and anything with wheels and an engine.
I started cleaning them from a young age, going round people's houses during the primary school holidays with the horrific black bucket and yellow sponge we all know, charging £1 for a “valet”. Those were the days.
That early introduction to detailing and valeting sparked my creativity and led me to develop my own style.
Growing up, I developed a huge interest in caring for and appreciating everything you have, especially your car. I took great pride in cleaning and maintaining my parents' cars and my own bikes, paying attention to the finer details along the way.
Years later, friends and family noticed the passion, interest and skill, and recommended I try to make a living from it. That's where the idea began. After years of perfecting my own style and techniques on my own vehicles, I started JDS to set a new standard and showcase my own take on automotive detailing.
JDS is now known for maintaining some of the highest standards in the country. It's been shortlisted for Start-Up Business of the Year in Wales, looked after millions of pounds' worth of vehicles, and is still run on the same passion that started it all.

Gethin
Gethin has always shown real passion for detailing and car care, coming to all our training days and detailing his own and his friends' cars to a great standard. With our 1-on-1 training, he's perfecting his own style.
In his free time he details his Integra Type R and goes for drives up the Brecon Beacons, so if you turn up in anything Japanese, you've already got a fan. His dream car? A Guards Red 997.2 GT3 in manual.
